NOTICE OF VACANCY

 

 

            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors (Board) of Levee District Number One of Sutter County (District) will consider appointing a person to fill the vacancy created by Director Al Montna’s resignation effective July 13, 2026. 

 

            The District is seeking a member of the community for appointment to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term of office.  The term of this vacancy will expire in December 2027.

 

            In order to be eligible for appointment to the Board, one must meet the following qualifications:

 

1.      He/She must be a registered voter.

2.      He/She must reside in the District.

3.      His/Her name must appear on the last equalized assessment roll of the County.

4.      He/She must own property assessed within the boundaries of the District.

 

            Interested individuals should send a letter of interest to the District office at 243 Second Street, Yuba City, CA 95991 or by email to ld1@syix.com.  Letters of interest must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026.  The Board will make the appointment at its regular meeting to be held on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.
